Thich Nhat Hanh (1926-2022) was a Vietnamese Buddhist monk, peace activist, and renowned author known for his teachings on mindfulness and meditation. Born in Vietnam, he became a monk at the age of 16 and quickly became an influential figure in Buddhism. During the Vietnam War, he actively promoted peace and reconciliation, which led to his exile from Vietnam for nearly four decades.
He founded Plum Village, a Buddhist community in France, where he taught the art of mindful living.
